Daily Census Status Logic

We have three possible statuses that can be assigned to a record in the Daily Census module:

Discharged, In Census, and Admitted.

If the Intake Opportunity Status is:

AND the Admission Date is:

The Daily Census Status is:

In Treatment

Not the current date

In Census

Any of the Discharged statuses: (Completed, Admin DC, or AMA/ACA)

Any date

Discharged

Admitted Today

Today

Admitted

Summary of Status Criteria

  • In Census: Assigned to patients actively in treatment, but whose admission date is not Today, so this means that the Daily census will start creating records associated with the intake opportunity until they discharge

  • Discharged: Assigned if the patient's status is one of the designated discharge types.

  • Admitted: Assigned to any record that does not meet the above criteria and has an Admission Date of today.
