📥 Pulling Data FROM the EMR (Pull to CRM)
Data that flows from the EMR into the Dazos CRM. Last verified against the integration code on July 20, 2026 — if an EMR's behavior changes in a release, this section should be re-verified. Note: this section does not cover what we push back out to the EMR (see the section above).
How the sync works
Every pull-capable EMR runs on one or more of these mechanisms:
Mechanism | What it means | EMRs |
Scheduled | Runs automatically on a recurring background job. No user action needed — the baseline for every pull-capable EMR. | All pull-capable EMRs |
Real-time webhook | The EMR notifies the CRM the moment a patient record changes, so updates land almost immediately instead of waiting for the next scheduled run. | Kipu, Aura, Alleva |
On-demand button | Staff can force an immediate refresh from the Opportunity screen via "Pull Patient Updates from EMR." | Aura, Kipu, Alleva, Netsmart, eClinicalWorks, LightningStep |
Two kinds of pull
Discovery pull — finds new patients/admissions in the EMR and creates a new Opportunity in the CRM.
Refresh pull — updates Opportunities that are already linked (new demographics, insurance, discharge status, etc.).
Most EMRs do both — exceptions are called out below.
