How Email Replies from iCampaign Campaigns Work — and How to View Them in the CRM (CRM)

Explains where iCampaign email replies go and how to set up Mail Manager or Mail Converter to view them inside the Dazos CRM.

How Email Replies from iCampaign Campaigns Work — and How to View Them in the CRM

When subscribers reply to an email campaign sent via iCampaign, those replies do not appear in iCampaign's Conversations area. Unlike SMS replies, email replies go directly to the sending email inbox. To view them inside the CRM, Mail Manager or Mail Converter must be configured.

When to Use / Why It Matters

This applies any time a customer or CSM expects to see iCampaign email replies inside the CRM or inside iCampaign's Conversations tab. Without proper setup, replies land silently in an inbox and the team may never see them.

How It Works

  • iCampaign sends campaigns from the From Email address configured under Sending Domains.

  • When a subscriber replies, the reply goes to that sending inbox — not into iCampaign.

  • To view replies in the CRM, the sending email must be a real accessible inbox, and Mail Manager or Mail Converter must be set up to pull from it.

Key Difference: Email vs. SMS Replies

  • 💬 SMS replies → appear automatically in iCampaign → Messages → Conversations.

  • 📧 Email replies → go to the sending inbox only. Requires Mail Manager/Mail Converter setup to surface in CRM.

Steps to Set Up Email Reply Handling

  1. In iCampaign, go to Settings → Sending Domains and note the From Email address used for campaigns.

  2. Confirm your team has access to that inbox — it must be a real, monitored mailbox.

  3. In Dazos CRM, go to Settings → CRM Settings → Mail Manager (or Mail Converter).

  4. Connect the sending email address to allow the CRM to read incoming replies.

  5. Configure how replies are matched and linked to records (by email address, lead, account, etc.).
