How to Build Reports Using Event Data in Dazos - Use the Calendar Module (CRM)

Clarifies that event data in Dazos CRM reports is accessed through the Calendar module, not a standalone Events module, and provides steps to build event-based reports correctly.

How to Build Reports Using Event Data in Dazos CRM

When building reports that include event data (such as Business Development events tied to referral sources), you need to select the Calendar module — not a standalone "Events" module. Although events exist in the system, they are accessed through the Calendar module when building reports.

When to Use / Why It Matters

This applies whenever a CSM or customer wants to build a report that pulls fields from event records — for example, Business Development event reporting by referral source. Selecting the wrong primary module will result in no event data being available as report columns.

Steps to Build an Event Report

  1. In Dazos CRM, go to Reports and click Add Report.

  2. When selecting the Primary Module, choose Calendar — this is where event data lives in the reporting engine. Then click Next

  3. Apply any filters needed (e.g., date range, event type, associated referral source).

  4. Add the event fields you need as columns (e.g., event name, date, referral source, attendees). Then click Next

  5. Select the Chart Type

  6. Save and generate the report.

Verification / Expected Result

After selecting Calendar as the Primary Module, the available columns should include event-specific fields. The report rows will represent individual event records you can filter and sort as needed.

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

  • ⚠️ "Events" is not available as a standalone Primary Module in Reports — always use Calendar instead to access event data.

  • ⚠️ If event fields are not appearing as column options, double-check that Calendar (not another module) is selected as the Primary Module.

  • 💡 Tasks are also accessed through the Calendar module in reports, not a standalone Tasks module.
