Troubleshooting Missing Event Data in Reports: Wrong Primary Module Issue (CRM)

You can see event data for most reps in your report, but specific users' events are missing or not showing up, even though you know those events exist in the system.

Root Cause

This issue occurs when your report uses the wrong Primary Module. Reports that need to show event data must use Calendar as the Primary Module, not other modules like Referral Sources.

When a report uses Referral Sources (or other modules) as the primary module, it will only display activities that are directly linked to records in that module. Standalone events that aren't attached to a referral source record get filtered out completely.

Solution

Fix this by duplicating your report and changing the Primary Module to Calendar:

  1. Navigate to your Reports section

    Screenshot showing Calendar module selection

  2. Locate the problematic report (e.g., "Last Month Activities")

  3. Open the report and click Duplicate

  4. In the duplicated report, change the Primary Module from "Referral Sources" to "Calendar"

  5. Keep your existing filters and column selections

  6. Save and generate the updated report

Expected Result

After changing to Calendar as the Primary Module, your report should now show:

  • All events from all reps, including those previously missing

  • Both standalone events and events linked to referral sources

  • Complete activity data regardless of referral source attachment

When to Contact Support

Contact Dazos Support if:
