(INTERNAL) Troubleshooting KIPU EMR PAA Integration: Incomplete Payload Generation (CRM)

Purpose

This guide helps resolve issues where Pre-Admission Assessment (PAA) data appears correctly mapped in Dazos but generates incomplete payloads when transferring to KIPU EMR, resulting in mostly empty fields in the patient's KIPU record.

Symptom/Error

You may experience the following symptoms:

  • PAA fields are correctly mapped in Dazos administration settings

  • Pre-admission assessments are fully completed by patients

  • Generated payload sent to KIPU is extremely short and missing most mapped questions

  • Patient evaluation forms in KIPU show mostly empty fields despite complete assessment data

  • Only a small subset of questions transfer successfully

Cause

This issue occurs due to a payload generation problem in the KIPU integration process. Despite correct field mapping configuration, the system fails to pull all assessment data into the transfer payload, resulting in incomplete data transmission to KIPU.

Solution

This is a system-level issue that requires technical intervention from Dazos Support. Follow these steps:

  1. Document the issue: Note which specific PAA forms are affected and gather examples of incomplete transfers

  2. Contact Dazos Support: Submit a support ticket with the following information:

    • Your instance URL

    • Specific Pre-screening ID numbers affected

    • Example patient records showing the incomplete transfer

    • Screenshots or links to both the completed Dazos assessment and the incomplete KIPU form

  3. Provide test data: If possible, complete a test assessment that can be used for troubleshooting

  4. Wait for technical resolution: The Dazos technical team will investigate the payload generation logic and implement a fix

Expected Resolution: After the technical fix is applied, most fields should transfer correctly. Some individual fields may require rebuilding for full compatibility.

Field Compatibility Notes

After the main issue is resolved, certain complex field types (such as multi-select medical condition fields) may still require individual rebuilding to ensure full compatibility between Dazos and KIPU field structures.

When to Contact Support

Contact Dazos Support immediately if:

  • Your PAA data is not transferring completely to KIPU despite correct mapping

  • Generated payloads appear unusually short compared to your assessment length

  • Previously working PAA integrations suddenly start showing incomplete data

  • You need specific fields rebuilt for compatibility after the main fix is applied
