How PAAs Are Sent to KIPU and How Clinician Sign-Off Works (CRM)

Overview Pre-Admission Assessments (PAAs) completed in Dazos CRM are not sent to KIPU as links. They are transmitted as structured data and/or PDF documents, both of which support clinician review and sign-off directly inside KIPU.

How PAAs Are Sent to KIPU

Depending on your integration configuration, PAAs can be sent to KIPU in one or both of the following formats:

Format 1: Evaluation Form (Mapped Data)

The PAA is sent as field-by-field mapped data into KIPU's Pre-Admission evaluation form. Each response from the assessment populates the corresponding field inside KIPU's evaluation form structure.

  • The data lands directly inside KIPU as a structured evaluation form.

  • Clinicians can open the form in KIPU, review all mapped fields, and sign off using KIPU's standard evaluation workflow.

  • This is the recommended format for clinical sign-off.

Format 2: PDF Attachment

The completed PAA is sent as a static PDF and stored in the patient's record under the Pre-Admission tab in KIPU.

  • The PDF serves as a documentation or compliance copy of the completed assessment.

  • Clinicians can review the PDF within the patient's KIPU record.

Both Formats Simultaneously

In some configurations, both formats are sent at the same time — the evaluation form carries the mapped field data for clinical use, while the PDF provides a permanent documentation copy. This is the most complete configuration.

How Clinician Sign-Off Works

Clinician sign-off does not happen in Dazos. It happens inside KIPU after the PAA data has been pushed.

  • Evaluation form format: Clinicians open the Pre-Admission evaluation form in KIPU and sign it using KIPU's built-in evaluation workflow — the same process used for any other KIPU evaluation form.

  • PDF format: The PDF is stored in the patient's KIPU record and can be reviewed as part of standard documentation processes.

Because the assessment data lives inside KIPU as a native evaluation form or document, clinicians do not need access to Dazos to complete their review or signature.

Tips & Notes

💡 Tip: If clinician sign-off is a priority for your facility, confirm with your Dazos implementation or support contact that your integration is configured to send PAAs as evaluation forms — this is the format that enables sign-off within KIPU's standard workflow.

⚠️ Note: PAAs are never sent to KIPU as external links. If you are seeing link-based behavior, contact Dazos Support to review your integration configuration.
