How to create blank PDF versions of PAA forms for manual completion

Create a printable blank PDF version of your PAA form by setting up a special version with minimal required fields, allowing you to generate empty forms for manual completion.

Before You Begin

  • You'll need administrative access to modify PAA forms in your workspace

  • Identify which PAA form you want to create a blank version of

Steps

  1. Create a duplicate PAA version
Navigate to your existing PAA form and create a copy specifically for printing purposes.

  2. Remove mandatory field requirements
Go through the form settings and remove as many required field validations as possible, keeping only essential fields that prevent the form from saving.

  3. Name the version clearly
Give this version a clear name like "[Original Name] - Print Version" or "[Original Name] - Blank Form" to distinguish it from your regular PAA.

  4. Save the modified version
Save your new PAA version with minimal required fields.

  5. Create a test PAA entry
Create a new PAA using this print version, leaving all non-required fields blank.

  6. Generate and download the PDF
Export the PAA as a PDF to get your blank form ready for printing and manual completion.

Expected Result

You should now have a blank PDF version of your PAA form that can be printed and filled out manually. The form will have minimal pre-filled information and plenty of blank fields for handwritten completion.

Important Notes

  • ⚠️ Data Entry: Any manually completed forms will need to be entered back into the system manually after completion.

  • πŸ’‘ Best Practice: Keep your print version separate from your regular PAA to avoid confusion during normal workflow.

  • πŸ“ Tip: Consider adding a note in the version name or description indicating this is for print/manual completion only.
