How to Add Contact Types in iCampaign

You can add custom contact types (like "Sponsors") in iCampaign by creating a picklist in Custom Fields. This allows you to categorize your subscribers beyond the default contact types.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have access to the iCampaign Custom Fields section. You'll need appropriate permissions to create and manage custom fields.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Subscribers in your iCampaign dashboard

  2. Go to Manage Fields

  3. Click Add custom field and create a new custom field for contact types
    ​

  4. Set the field type as Picklist and add the label name Contact Type

  5. Add your desired contact types (e.g., "Leads", "Patient", "Patient Contact", "Referral Source") as options in the picklist
    ​

  6. Save the custom field

Expected Result

Once created, your new contact type field will be available when viewing or editing subscriber records. You can assign contact types to individual subscribers and use this field for segmentation and targeting in your campaigns.

Important Note

⚠️ CRM Sync Limitation: While you can add contact types directly in iCampaign using custom fields, syncing contact types from your CRM system requires a different configuration. If you need to sync contact types from your CRM, you may need to add the corresponding field to your CRM layout first.
