How to Find PDF Password for Exported Reports (CRM)

When you export reports from Dazos CRM as PDF files, they are automatically password protected for security. This guide shows you how to locate the PDF password so you can open and view your exported reports.

Before You Begin

You must have appropriate permissions to access CRM Settings. Users with Executive or Administrator roles typically have this access.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Settings β†’ CRM Settings

  2. Navigate to Configuration β†’ Notification Settings

  3. Click Edit (located in the top right corner)

  4. Add, Change, or Remove the existing password

  5. Click Save to apply the changes

Verification / Expected Result

After locating the PDF password, you should be able to:

  • Open any PDF report exported from your CRM

  • Enter the password when prompted to access the document contents

  • View all report data within the PDF file

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

Cannot access Settings or CRM Settings:

  • Verify you have the appropriate user permissions

  • Contact your system administrator if you need elevated access

PDF password field is empty:

  • The PDF password may not be configured for your system

  • Contact Dazos Support to set up PDF password protection

The password doesn't work with the exported PDF:

  • Double-check you're copying the exact password from the PDF Password field

  • Ensure the PDF was exported after the current password was set
