How to Add Module Tables Using Sub Module Reference Blocks (CRM)

Learn how to add tables like related contacts, treatment history, or medications to any module using Sub Module Reference blocks. This allows you to collect one-to-many data sets within a single CRM module.

Before You Begin

Ensure you have administrator access to Module Management in your Dazos CRM workspace.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Settings > CRM Settings > Module Management

  2. Click Module Fields & Layout

  3. Select your target module from the dropdown menu

  4. Click Add Block (not Add Custom Field)

  5. Set Block Type to Sub Module Reference

  6. Choose your desired table from the Sub Module Reference dropdown (options include Treatment History, Substances of Abuse, Medications, etc.)

  7. Configure any additional settings as needed

  8. Save your changes

Expected Result

The selected module table will be added to your module, allowing you to collect and manage related data in a structured format similar to how Related Contacts works.

Key Points

  • Use Add Block, not Add Custom Field: The Sub Module Reference option is only available when adding blocks

  • Block Type is crucial: Setting the block type to "Sub Module Reference" unlocks access to existing module tables

  • One-to-many data collection: This feature is designed for collecting multiple related records within a single module
