How to Rename CRM Modules (CRM)

This guide explains how to rename CRM modules (such as changing 'Intake Opportunities' to 'Pipeline'). This process only updates the module name, not all related terminology throughout the system.

Before You Begin

  • Administrative Access: This feature is typically restricted to Dazos internal teams only and is not available to customers.

  • System Impact: Module renaming affects database structure, integrations, and system stability, which is why it requires internal team handling.

    IMPORTANT

  • Comprehensive Changes: This process updates just the display name, not all related terminology across the entire system.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Module Management
Log in to your Dazos CRM instance and go to Settings > CRM Settings > Configuration > Main Menu.

  2. Update Module Name
Locate the module you want to rename (e.g., 'Intake Opportunities') in the module list, then click on the pencil to edit the module name.

  3. Save Changes
Apply the changes to update the module name across the entire CRM system.

Verification / Expected Result

After completing this process, the module will display with the new name throughout the CRM interface.

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

  • Access Denied: If you cannot access Language Management, this feature may be restricted to internal Dazos teams. Contact Dazos support for assistance with module renaming.

  • Integration Issues: Module renaming can affect existing integrations or custom workflows that reference the old module name. These may need to be updated separately.

  • Incomplete Updates: If some areas still show the old module name, ensure all related terminology was updated in the Language Management section.
