SMS Sending Capabilities from Dazos CRM: Current Options and Roadmap

This article clarifies the current SMS sending capabilities available directly from the Dazos CRM and outlines what's planned for the future. Understanding these options helps determine the best approach for your SMS communication needs.

Current SMS Sending Options from CRM

Currently, there are two ways to send SMS messages from the Dazos CRM:

1. Workflows with 'Send SMS' Action (CTM/CallRail Users)

If your organization uses CTM (Call Tracking Metrics) or CallRail integrations, you can create workflows in the CRM that include a "Send SMS" action. This allows you to send individual SMS messages as part of automated workflow processes.

2. Workflows that Trigger SMS Campaigns in iCampaign

You can create workflows in the CRM that automatically trigger SMS campaigns in iCampaign. This allows you to send SMS campaigns to CRM records based on specific triggers or conditions you define in your workflow.

What's NOT Currently Available

Individual SMS sending from the CRM interface is not available yet. There is no standalone SMS sending capability within the CRM itself where you can manually compose and send individual text messages directly from a contact or lead record.

Important Distinction: CRM vs iCampaign

While iCampaign (our integrated marketing platform) offers full SMS campaign capabilities including templates, scheduling, and subscriber management, this article specifically addresses SMS functionality available directly within the CRM interface.

For comprehensive SMS campaign management, iCampaign remains the primary platform for creating, scheduling, and managing text message campaigns.
