Overview
If you use the CallRail integration with Dazos, you may notice two limitations when working with Call Logs: the Recording Link does not open the specific call recording, and call transcripts cannot be mapped into Dazos the way CTM transcripts can. Both are known limitations of the current CallRail integration.
Key Concepts
Recording Link behavior: Clicking a CallRail Recording Link on a Call Log redirects to the CallRail main page after login — not to the specific call recording.
Transcript availability: There is no transcript field available in the CallRail Map Call Log Fields settings, so call transcripts cannot be mapped into Dazos Call Logs.
CTM comparison: CTM users have access to a "CTM Live Transcript" section on Call Logs. This field does not exist for the CallRail integration.
Feature request submitted: A feature request has been submitted to add CallRail transcript support to Call Logs in Dazos.
How It Works
Recording Links
When both Recording Link and Recording are mapped in VoIP Settings > CallRail > Map Call Log Fields, the Recording Link field is populated on the Call Log. However, clicking this link takes you to the CallRail login page, and after logging in, you are directed to the CallRail main page — not to the recording for that specific call. This affects all users, including admins, and occurs consistently on every click. This is a known limitation of the current integration.
Call Transcripts
In the CallRail Map Call Log Fields settings, there is no transcript field available to map. This means there is no way to bring CallRail call transcripts into Dazos Call Logs at this time. By contrast, CTM provides a "CTM Live Transcript" field that can be mapped and displayed directly on a Call Log record.
Important Notes
Workaround for Recording Links: To listen to a specific CallRail recording, log in to your CallRail account directly and search for the call by date, time, or phone number.
Workaround for Transcripts: To read a call transcript, log in to your CallRail account directly and locate the call record there. Transcripts cannot currently be viewed from within Dazos for CallRail calls.
Feature Request: A feature request has been submitted to the Dazos product team to add CallRail transcript support to Call Logs — similar to how the CTM Live Transcript works today. Submitting a feature request does not guarantee it will be built, as the roadmap is prioritized based on volume and frequency of customer requests. If this feature is prioritized, affected customers will be notified.
