CallRail Calls Not Logging to Dazos: Cause and Retroactive Sync Limitation (CRM)

Overview This article explains why CallRail calls may stop logging to Dazos and clarifies that missing call logs from an affected period cannot be retroactively synced.

If you experienced a gap in call logging while leads were still being created, this article will help you understand what happened and what your options are.

What Happened

A platform update temporarily prevented call creation through integrations, including CallRail. During this period, inbound calls from CallRail continued to create Lead records in Dazos — but no call log was attached to those leads.

This was a widespread issue that was identified, reported, and resolved by the Dazos team. The integration resumed normal call logging behavior once the issue was corrected.

⚠️ Note: If your CallRail integration is currently logging calls successfully, the issue has been resolved. No action is needed on your end to restore the integration going forward.

Why Leads Were Created but Calls Were Not Logged

CallRail sends two types of data to Dazos on an inbound call: a Lead record and a call log entry. During the affected period, the platform update blocked the call log portion of that process while the Lead creation pathway continued to function.

This is why you may have seen a mismatch — leads existed in Dazos with no corresponding call log attached to the record.

Can Missing Calls Be Retroactively Synced?

No. Retroactive syncing of call logs from the affected period is not available. Dazos cannot pull historical call data back from CallRail to populate missing call log entries.

If you need those call records reflected in Dazos, they will need to be added manually to the affected Lead records.

⚠️ Important: There is no automated resync option for call logs missed during a platform disruption. Manual entry is the only available path to recover this data.

How to Add Missing Call Logs Manually

  1. Identify the Lead records in Dazos that are missing call log entries from the affected period.

  2. Reference your CallRail account to retrieve the call details (date, time, duration, caller information) for each affected call.

  3. Open each Lead record in Dazos and manually log the call using the call log or activity section of the record.

  4. Repeat for each affected Lead until all missing calls have been recorded.

💡 Tip: If you need help locating affected Lead records or logging calls manually, contact Dazos Support through the in-app Support Messenger for assistance.

Tips & Notes

  • Best Practice: Periodically cross-reference your CallRail call volume against Dazos call logs to catch any future discrepancies early.

  • ⚠️ Warning: Do not attempt to re-trigger the CallRail webhook for historical calls as a workaround — retroactive sync is not supported and this will not restore missing call logs.

  • 💡 Tip: If you notice calls are not logging again in the future, contact Dazos Support right away so the issue can be investigated and resolved as quickly as possible.
