Q: What do I need to send automated SMS with my SMS-capable CTM number?
A: You only need two things:
An SMS-capable CTM number (which already includes A2P 10DLC compliance)
A CRM workflow that triggers the SMS (e.g., 1 day before a date field)
Q: Do I need to set up A2P 10DLC registration separately?
A: No. If your CTM number is already SMS-capable, A2P 10DLC compliance is already completed. This includes:
Business Profile registration
Brand registration
Campaign registration with sample messages and opt-in/opt-out instructions
Phone number linked to an approved campaign via Twilio Messaging Service
Q: What if my CTM number isn't SMS-capable yet?
A: You'll need to complete the full A2P 10DLC setup process first:
Business Profile — legal business details matching government records, including EIN
Brand Registration — business type and details
Campaign Registration — use case, sample messages, and clear opt-in/opt-out instructions
Link your phone number to an approved campaign via Twilio Messaging Service
Set up your CRM workflow to trigger the SMS
⚠️ Important: SMS cannot be sent until A2P 10DLC compliance is fully completed and approved.
💡 Tip: If you're unsure whether your CTM number is already SMS-capable, check with your CTM account settings or contact Dazos Support before starting the A2P 10DLC registration process.
