How to Set Up Google Ads GCLID Data Through CTM Integration (CRM)

Overview To capture GCLID and web traffic data from Google Ads in Dazos, you need to configure the data source through CTM (Call Tracking Metrics) first.

Before You Begin

  • Admin access to your CTM account

  • Google Ads integration already set up in Dazos

  • CTM actively tracking your website traffic

โš ๏ธ Important: CTM must be configured first as the source of truth for GCLID data. The Google Ads integration in Dazos cannot capture this data independently.

Steps

  1. Access your CTM account and set up GCLID parameter tracking for your Google Ads campaigns.

  2. Configure CTM to capture and map the GCLID data that will be passed to Dazos.

  3. Confirm your CTM integration is properly connected to your Dazos instance so data can flow correctly.

  4. Generate test leads from Google Ads to verify that GCLID and web traffic data appears correctly on lead records in Dazos.

Verification / Expected Result

Once properly configured, GCLID and web traffic data from your Google Ads campaigns will automatically appear on lead records in Dazos, sourced through your CTM instance.

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

GCLID data not appearing on lead records:

  • Verify GCLID parameter tracking is enabled in CTM

  • Confirm the CTM to Dazos integration is active and connected

  • Check that test leads are being generated from Google Ads traffic, not direct URL visits

CTM and Dazos not syncing:

  • Review your CTM integration settings in Dazos

  • Contact Dazos Support if the connection status shows inactive
