Why Anticipated Admission Date Appears Instead of Admission Date
When creating new patients in KIPU v4, the system uses Anticipated Admission Date as the primary field during initial patient creation. The actual Admission Date is only populated later in the workflow when the patient is formally admitted from their chart.
How the KIPU v4 Admission Process Works
Stage | Field Used | When It Happens |
Initial Patient Creation | Anticipated Admission Date | When patient record is first created |
Formal Admission | Admission Date | When user admits patient from their chart |
Medical Record Generation | MR Number assigned | During the formal admission process |
When This Matters
This distinction is important when:
Setting up field mappings between Dazos CRM and KIPU v4
Understanding why admission dates appear under "Anticipated Admission Date" in KIPU
Configuring workflows that depend on admission status timing
Troubleshooting data mapping issues between systems
Expected Behavior
When integrating Dazos CRM with KIPU v4:
Admission dates from Dazos will populate the Anticipated Admission Date field in KIPU
The Admission Date field will remain empty until the patient is formally admitted in KIPU
This is correct system behavior — not a mapping error
Tips & Notes
⚠️ Important: Do not attempt to map directly to the Admission Date field in KIPU v4. This field is reserved for the formal admission process within KIPU.
💡 Tip: If you need to track formal admission dates, configure your workflows to monitor when patients are admitted directly from their charts in KIPU — this is when the actual Admission Date field gets populated.
