The Reports module now supports a Week grouping option for date and datetime fields. When you group a Chart Report or Chart+Detail Report by Week, records are bucketed into Sunday–Saturday periods and labeled with the full date range — for example, Jun 15-21, 2026 or Jun 29 - Jul 5, 2026. Clicking a bar in the chart drills down to show only the records from that specific week.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Before You Start
You will need:
Access to the Reports module in the CRM
Permission to create or edit Chart Reports or Chart+Detail Reports
At least one module with a date or datetime field (e.g. Leads — Created Time, Contacts — Modified Time)
Access requirements: Any user who can currently create or edit Chart Reports has access to the new Week grouping option automatically. No additional role changes or feature flags are required.
If you do not see the Reports module in the navigation menu, contact your CRM administrator to confirm your profile has Reports access enabled.
2. Open the Reports Module
From any page in the CRM, click Reports in the left navigation menu.
The Reports list shows all saved reports. You can create a new report by clicking the report type of your choice or open an existing report to edit it.
3. Create or Edit a Chart Report
To create a new report:
From the Reports list, click Chart Report or Chart+Detail Report from the report type options.
In Step 1 of the builder, select the primary module (e.g. Leads, Contacts, Accounts).
In Step 2, choose the columns to include in the report detail table.
Continue to Step 3 to configure the Group By field.
To edit an existing report:
Open the report from the Reports list.
Click Modify Report in the toolbar at the top of the report.
The report builder panel will appear inline, showing the Group By and Sort Order controls.
Tip: The Week grouping option is available on any field whose type is Date or Datetime — for example, Created Time, Modified Time, Close Date, or any custom date field you have added to
the module.
4. Select Week Grouping in the Group By Field
In the Group By section, open the first dropdown and locate your date field. Date and datetime fields offer multiple time-period options:
Option | What It Groups By |
[Field] (Year) | Calendar year |
[Field] (Month) | Calendar month |
[Field] (Week) | Sunday–Saturday week |
[Field] (Weekday) | Day of the week (Monday, Tuesday…) |
[Field] (Day of Month) | Day number within the month |
Select [Field Name] (Week) — for example, Created Time (Week) — to group records into weekly buckets.
After selecting the Week option:
Leave Sort Order as None (the chart will sort weeks chronologically by default) or choose Ascending / Descending to control the order.
Click Save to save the report, or Generate Now to preview the results without saving.
5. Read Your Weekly Report
Once the report is generated, the detail table groups records by week. Each group header shows the full Sunday–Saturday date range:
Label format | When it appears |
Jun 15-21, 2026 | Week within a single month |
Jun 29 - Jul 5, 2026 | Week that crosses a month boundary |
Dec 29, 2025 - Jan 4, 2026 | Week that crosses a year boundary |
The chart above the table displays one bar per week. The bar height represents the count of records in that week.
Drilling down: Click any bar in the chart to filter the detail table to only the records in that specific Sunday–Saturday week.
Tip: To switch between viewing counts (Units) and percentages (%s), use the toggle buttons above the chart.
6. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Which day does a week start on?
Weeks always begin on Sunday and end on Saturday. This is fixed and cannot be changed per report.
Q: What if a record's date falls on a Sunday — does it belong to the week starting that Sunday or the previous week?
It belongs to the week starting on that Sunday. Sunday is the first day of the week, so a record dated Sunday June 15 falls in the "Jun 15-21" bucket.
Q: Does Week grouping work on custom date fields, not just built-in ones like Created Time? Yes. Any field whose type is Date or Datetime will show the Year, Month, Week, Weekday, and Day grouping options in the dropdown.
Q: Can I use Week grouping in a Chart Report (no detail table) as well as a Chart+Detail Report? Yes. Both report types support Week grouping in the Group By field.
Q: The week label in the chart X-axis is truncated (e.g. "Jun 7..."). How do I see the full label? Hover over the bar to see the full week range in the tooltip. The full label is always visible in the detail table below the chart.
Q: Can I stack bars by a second field while using Week grouping?
Yes. In the chart builder (Modify Graph), you can select a Stacked Field alongside the Week group-by to create a stacked bar chart broken down by that second dimension.
Q: I saved a report with Week grouping but the report shows "No Data Available." What should I do?
First confirm that the module has records with dates in the field you selected. If records exist and the report still shows no data, contact Dazos support with the report name and reference CRM-3256.
Q: Can I export a weekly report to PDF or CSV?
Yes. Use the Export button in the report toolbar to download the detail table, or use Export PDF above the chart to export the chart image.
