Before You Start
You will need:
Access to the Reports module in the CRM.
Permission to create or edit chart reports (standard user or above with Reports access).
Access requirements: No special role or feature flag is required. The updated thumbnail is visible to all users who can access the chart type selector.
If you do not see the Reports module in your navigation, ask your CRM administrator to verify your role has Reports access enabled.
2. Where to See the Change
The updated thumbnail appears in the chart type selector, which is shown in two places:
Report Wizard — Step 4: When creating a new chart report, Step 4 displays a grid of chart type cards. The Vertical Stack Bar card now shows the updated thumbnail.
Report Edit Panel: When editing an existing chart report, the same chart type grid appears at the top of the edit panel.
No action is needed. The new thumbnail loads automatically — no report needs to be re-saved or reconfigured.
Tip: All other chart type thumbnails are unchanged. Only the Vertical Stack Bar card has a new preview image.
3. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to do anything to see the new thumbnail? No. The change takes effect automatically the next time you open the chart type selector. A browser refresh is all that is needed if the old image is cached.
Q: Does this change affect how Vertical Stack Bar charts look in my reports? No. Only the small preview thumbnail in the selector was updated. The chart output in your reports is completely unchanged.
Q: I still see the old thumbnail — what should I do? Try a hard refresh in your browser (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows/Linux, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) to clear the cached image.
Q: Were any of my existing reports changed? No. Existing reports are unaffected. This change is limited to the preview image shown in the chart type selector.
