Turning Social Media On Per Workspace (iCampaign)

Social Media access can now be managed per workspace instead of per client. Enable or disable the module for individual workspaces from the new Workspace Social Media screen without affecting other workspaces in the same client.

1. Before You Start

You will need:

  • An administrator account for the Dazos admin panel.

  • The name of the client (instance) you want to configure.

  • The workspace (or workspaces) inside that client that should have Social Media.

Access requirements: This screen lives under Plans Management and is available to administrators with access to the admin area. If you can open the other Plans Management screens (Clients, Client Plans), you can use this one.

If you don't see Workspace Social Media in the menu, contact Dazos support to confirm your account has admin-area access.

Important: The old per-client "Active Social Media" checkbox on the Clients screen has been removed. Social Media is now enabled only from the Workspace Social Media screen, one workspace at a time. Every workspace starts turned off until you activate it here.

2. Open Workspace Social Media

From the admin panel, open the left-hand menu and go to Plans Management → Workspace Social Media.

The list shows every workspace that already has a Social Media record, with three columns:

Column

Meaning

Client Id

The client (instance) the workspace belongs to.

Workspace Name

The name of the workspace, with its internal number in parentheses.

Active

Yes if Social Media is turned on for that workspace, No if it is turned off.

You can search and filter the list using the row under the headers: type part of a client name or workspace name, or pick Yes / No in the Active filter, then click Search Data. Use Clear Filters to reset.

To add a new record, click + New Workspace Social Media in the top-right.

3. Enable Social Media for a Workspace

On the create screen, fill in the form in order:

Field

Description

Example

Client

The client (instance) you want to configure. Pick this first.

icampaign

Workspace

The specific workspace to enable. This list fills in automatically after you choose a client, and shows only that client's active workspaces.

Active Social

Media

Tick this box to turn Social Media on for the chosen workspace. Leave it unticked to create the record turned off.

Then:

  1. Choose the Client.

  2. Wait a moment for the Workspace list to load, then choose the workspace.

  3. Tick Active Social Media.

  4. Click Create.

Repeat these steps for each workspace that should have the module. Enabling one workspace never enables the others — each is controlled on its own.

Tip: You can only have one record per workspace. If you try to add a workspace that already has a record, the system will ask you to edit the existing one instead.

4. Disable Social Media Later

To turn Social Media off for a workspace, open the Workspace Social Media list and click the client link on that workspace's row to open its record.

You have two ways to disable it:

Action

Result

Untick "Active Social Media" and save

Keeps the record but turns the module off for that workspace.

Delete the record

Removes the record entirely; the workspace goes back to being off.

Both options have the same effect for users: the workspace stops having the Social Media functionality.

Tip: To re-enable it later, just edit the record and tick Active Social Media again (or create a fresh record if you deleted it).

5. What Users See

  • Workspaces with an active record have the full Social Media functionality.

  • Workspaces without an active record still see the Social Media menu inside the application, but its screens show a "contact Sales" message instead of the tools.

This means turning a workspace off never hides the menu — it simply replaces the feature with the contact-sales message until you enable it again.

6. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where did the "Active Social Media" checkbox on the Clients screen go? It has been removed. Social Media is now managed only from the Workspace Social Media screen, per workspace.

Q: If I enable one workspace, do the others turn on too? No. Each workspace is controlled independently. You must add a record for every workspace that should have the module.

Q: Why is the Workspace dropdown empty or disabled? You must pick a Client first. The workspace list loads from that client and shows only its active workspaces. If it stays empty after a few seconds, the client's data may be temporarily unreachable — try again shortly or contact support.

Q: Can I add the same workspace twice? No. Each workspace can have only one record. Edit the existing record to change its status.

Q: What happens to the record if the client is deleted? Its Workspace Social Media records are removed automatically along with the client.

Q: Is deleting a record the same as unticking "Active"? For the user experience, yes — both leave the workspace showing the contact-sales message. Unticking keeps the record for easy re-enabling later; deleting removes it.

Need Help?

If you run into issues:

  1. Check the Workspace Social Media list to confirm the workspace shows Yes in the Active column.

  2. Re-open the record and confirm the correct Client and Workspace are selected and Active Social Media is ticked.

  3. Contact Dazos support with the client and workspace names, and reference ICD-1442.
