How to Manage Field Visibility Settings in User Profiles (CRM)

Overview

This guide shows you how to manage field and section visibility settings in user profiles to ensure team members can access the content they need.

Before You Begin

You'll need administrative access to Settings > User Management in your Dazos instance.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Role Profiles
Go to Settings > User Management > Roles

  2. Select the Profile to Edit
Choose the specific profile that needs visibility adjustments (e.g., the profile assigned to users who cannot see certain sections)

  3. Access Field-Level Security
Within the selected profile, locate the Field-Level Security settings

  4. Enable Section Visibility
Find the section or field that needs to be visible (e.g., "CTM activity ID") and mark it as Visible

  5. Save Your Changes
Apply the changes to update the profile permissions

  6. Have Users Refresh
Ask affected users to refresh their page to see the newly visible sections

Expected Result

Users assigned to the updated profile will now be able to see the previously hidden sections or fields in their interface.

Why This Happens

When new sections or fields are added to layouts, they must be enabled for each role profile separately. Users with different profiles may have different visibility permissions, which is why some team members can see certain sections while others cannot.

šŸ’” Pro Tip

When adding new sections to your layouts, remember to check and update field visibility settings for all relevant user profiles to ensure consistent access across your team.
