Troubleshooting PAA Module Table Sections Not Displaying for Specific Users (CRM)

This guide explains how to resolve an issue where a PAA (Pre-Admission Assessment) module table section — such as the Substances Used in the Last 30 Days table — is not visible for specific users, even when other users on the same instance can see it.

Symptom

One or more users cannot see a specific table section within a PAA record. The missing section is visible to other users, including those with the same role or higher-level roles such as Executive or Admin.

  • The affected user sees all other PAA sections normally.

  • The issue may affect users with any role, including high-level roles like Executive.

  • Other users with the same role may be able to see the section, suggesting this is account-level rather than role-wide.

Cause

This issue is typically caused by View All and Edit All permissions not being enabled on the affected user's assigned role. Even users with senior or administrative roles (such as Executive) may not have these permissions explicitly enabled, which can prevent certain PAA module table sections from rendering for their account.

This can occur due to account-level permission inheritance inconsistencies, where some users within the same role are affected and others are not.

Solution

Step 1: Navigate to Role Settings

  1. Log in to Dazos CRM as an Administrator.

  2. Go to Settings > CRM Settings > User Management > Roles.

  3. Locate and select the role assigned to the affected user (e.g., Executive, Admissions Rep).

Step 2: Enable View All and Edit All Permissions

  1. Click Edit Privileges of This Profile for the selected role.

  2. Locate the permissions for the relevant module (e.g., PAA or the module containing the substance use table).

  3. Enable View All for the module.

  4. Enable Edit All for the module.

  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

Step 3: Test the Affected User's Account

  1. Log out of the Admin account.

  2. Impersonate or log in as the affected user.

  3. Navigate to the relevant PAA record.

  4. Confirm that the previously missing table section (e.g., Substances Used in the Last 30 Days) is now visible.

⚠️ Note: Wait a few minutes after saving role changes before testing, as the system may need time to fully apply the updated permissions.

Verification / Expected Result

After enabling View All and Edit All on the affected user's role, the PAA table section should appear as expected — matching what other users see on the same record.

Escalation

If enabling View All and Edit All does not resolve the visibility issue, or if the problem returns after saving, contact Dazos Support and provide the following details:

  • Affected user name(s) and their assigned role(s)

  • Your instance URL

  • The specific PAA section or table that is not displaying

  • Confirmation that View All and Edit All were enabled and saved

  • Any screenshots or screen recordings showing the missing section

💡 Tip: This issue has been identified as a potential account-level permission inheritance bug and may be under active investigation by the Dazos engineering team. Enabling View All and Edit All serves as a confirmed workaround while a deeper fix is in progress.
