How to Add a New Account and Intake Opportunity Without Going Through the Lead or VOB Step (CRM)

If your team needs to create a new Account and Intake Opportunity without submitting a lead or running a Verification of Benefits (VOB) first, you can do this directly from the Accounts module using the Add Account button. This is ideal for Business Devel

Before You Begin

  • You must have access to the Accounts module in Dazos CRM.

  • No lead submission or VOB is required before using this method.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Accounts module in your Dazos CRM using the left-side navigation menu.

  2. Click the Add Account button. This button allows you to create a new Account directly, bypassing the Submit New Lead form and the VOB requirement entirely.

  3. Fill in the Account details. Enter the relevant account information such as the patient's name and any other required fields in the form that appears.

  4. Save the Account. Once you have completed the account details, save the record. The new Account will now exist in the system.

  5. Create an Intake Opportunity. From within the newly created Account, navigate to the Intake Opportunities section and add a new Intake Opportunity. Fill out the required fields and save.

Verification / Expected Result

After completing these steps, a new Account will be created in the CRM with an associated Intake Opportunity — all without going through the Submit New Lead form or completing a VOB. The record will be accessible in the Accounts module for your team to manage going forward.

Tips & Notes

💡 Tip: This workflow is best suited for BD teams who are building out account relationships and do not yet need to run insurance verification at the point of entry.

✅ Best Practice: Always search for an existing Account before creating a new one to avoid duplicate records in the system.

⚠️ Note: This method creates a standalone Account and Intake Opportunity. It does not go through the standard Lead conversion process, so Lead-specific fields and conversion mappings will not apply.
