Overview
If you generate an API Access Key in Dazos CRM but cannot see it — or cannot find the User Advanced Options section where the key is displayed — this is most likely a role permissions issue. This guide explains the cause and how an admin can resolve it.
Symptom
You attempt to generate an API Access Key and the screen confirms it was created.
The key is not visible anywhere on the page.
The User Advanced Options section is missing from your user profile.
Cause
The API Access Key is displayed inside the User Advanced Options section of a user's profile. If a user's assigned role does not include access to this section, the section — and the key within it — will not appear, even after the key has been successfully generated.
This is a role-based permissions restriction and must be resolved by an administrator.
Solution — Admin Steps to Fix the Permissions
Log in as an Administrator. You must have administrative access to modify user roles in Dazos CRM.
Navigate to Settings. Click the Settings (gear icon) in the left-hand navigation bar.
Go to User Management. Within Settings, navigate to User & Access Management and click Manage Users.
Locate the affected user. Find the user who cannot see their API Access Key and open their profile.
Review and update the user's role. Check the role currently assigned to the user. Update or adjust the role so that it includes access to the User Advanced Options section. If you are unsure which role to assign, contact Dazos Support for guidance.
Save the changes. Click Save to apply the updated role permissions.
Ask the user to log out and log back in. Role changes take effect after a fresh login session.
Verification / Expected Result
After the role is updated and the user logs back in, they should be able to see the User Advanced Options section at the bottom of their user profile. The API Access Key will be displayed there as an alphanumeric string ready to copy and use.
When to Contact Support
If the User Advanced Options section is still not visible after the role has been updated and the user has logged back in, or if you are unsure how to configure role permissions in your instance, please contact Dazos Support for assistance.
⚠️ Note: Only an administrator can modify user role permissions. If you are not an admin, ask your organization's Dazos administrator to make this change on your behalf.
