How to Add an N/A Option to Existing Yes/No Questions on a Pre-Assessment (CRM)

Overview This guide shows how to add an N/A option to existing Yes/No questions on a Pre-Assessment (PAA) by editing the field in the Layout Editor, without creating new fields.

Before You Begin

You'll need:

  • Administrator access to your Dazos CRM instance.

  • The Pre-Assessment (PAA) that contains the Yes/No questions you want to update.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Pre-Assessment Settings: Go to Settings → Module Management → Pre-Assessment.

  2. Open the Layout Editor: Click Layout Editor for the Pre-Assessment you want to update.
    ​

  3. Find the existing Yes/No field: Locate the Yes/No question you want to modify. You do not need to create a new field — you will edit the existing one.
    ​

  4. Edit the field: Click on the existing Yes/No field to open its field settings.
    ​

  5. Enable the N/A option: In the field settings, find and enable the N/A option. This adds N/A as a third selectable bubble alongside Yes and No.
    ​

  6. Save your changes: Click Save to apply the update to the layout.

Result

After completing these steps, the updated Yes/No question will display three clickable bubble options — Yes, No, and N/A — when staff complete the Pre-Assessment. Repeat these steps for each existing Yes/No field you want to update.

Important Notes

Do not create a new field to add N/A. The N/A option is enabled by editing the existing Yes/No field in the Layout Editor — no new fields need to be added.

If you have multiple Yes/No questions you want to update, you will need to edit each field individually and enable the N/A option for each one.
