Overview
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add a unique "Legacy ID" to every Insurance Policy and Referral Source within your Sunwave EMR. Completing this process is critical for our development team to map your data correctly.
Before You Begin
Please ensure the user performing these steps has Super Admin access and Admin permissions within the Sunwave platform.
Steps
Part 1: Add Legacy IDs to Insurance Policies
From the main dashboard, navigate to the Billing section.
Click on Insurance Providers.
You will see a list of your insurance providers. Click on the first one to open its record.
Inside the record, locate the Legacy ID field.
Enter a unique, sequential number (e.g., 1, 2, 3...).
Click Update to save the change.
Repeat this process for every insurance provider in your system, ensuring each one receives a different number.
Part 2: Add Legacy IDs to Referral Sources
From the main dashboard, navigate to the CRM section.
βClick on Referral Sources.
Click on the first referral source to open its record.
Edit the record to find and update the Legacy ID field.
Enter a unique, sequential number.
Repeat this process for every referral source in your system.
Part 3: Final Data Submission
Once all IDs have been assigned, export your lists of Insurance Providers and Referral Sources.
Using the spreadsheet provided by our team, populate the columns with the provider/source names and their corresponding new Legacy IDs.
Send the completed spreadsheet back to our team.
Verification / Expected Result
Upon completion, every insurance policy and referral source in Sunwave will have a unique Legacy ID. You will also have a completed spreadsheet containing these records and their corresponding IDs, ready to be sent to our development team for data mapping.
