Overview
When insurance providers in Sunwave EMR lack Legacy IDs, they cannot be selected or mapped in Dazos during patient data transmission. This guide explains how to coordinate with Sunwave support to assign unique Legacy IDs and configure them for proper Dazos integration.
Before You Begin
Identify which insurance providers are missing Legacy IDs in Sunwave
Ensure you have contact information for Sunwave support
Have a list of insurance provider names that need Legacy IDs assigned
Steps
Step 1: Contact Sunwave Support for Legacy ID Assignment
Contact Sunwave support and request unique Legacy IDs for the insurance providers that are missing them.
Provide the exact insurance provider names that need Legacy IDs, such as:
Healthchoice
Creek Nation
Healthcare Highways
Medicaid/Soonercare
Miami Tribe of Oklahoma
Otoe-Missouria Tribe
Step 2: Receive Legacy ID Assignments from Sunwave
Sunwave support will assign unique numeric Legacy IDs to each insurance provider. These IDs must be unique sequential numbers (e.g., 252, 253, 254, etc.).
Example of properly assigned Legacy IDs:
Creek Nation: 252
Healthcare Highways: 253
Healthchoice: 254
Medicaid/Soonercare: 255
Miami Tribe of Oklahoma: 256
Otoe-Missouria Tribe: 257
Step 3: Provide Mapping Information to Dazos Support
Once Sunwave assigns the Legacy IDs, contact Dazos support with both:
The exact insurance provider names
Their corresponding assigned Legacy IDs
Dazos support will then add the mappings to ensure proper data transfer between systems.
Verification / Expected Result
After completing these steps:
Insurance providers will have unique Legacy IDs in Sunwave
Dazos will be able to select and map these insurance providers correctly
Patient insurance information will transmit properly from Dazos to Sunwave
Troubleshooting / Common Errors
Insurance still not appearing in Dazos: Verify that the Legacy IDs were properly assigned in Sunwave and that the mapping information was correctly provided to Dazos support.
Data transmission failures: Check that the Legacy IDs are unique numeric values and that no extra spaces or characters were included in the ID assignment.
