Overview
This guide explains how to test whether a patient record is successfully pushing from Dazos CRM to Sunwave. This process is used to verify integration functionality or troubleshoot issues when patients are not appearing in Sunwave as expected.
Before You Begin
• Access to a Dazos CRM test account
• Access to Sunwave (via Sunwave Logins spreadsheet and manager-provided verification code)
• Admin permissions for CRM EMR Settings
Important Note for Testing
• Always use test accounts only for this process.
• Never perform these steps with real patient data on a live instance.
• In production, actual patient entries are always created by Dazos CRM users (reps) on their own instance.
Steps
Step-by-Step Guide to Pushing a Patient to Sunwave - Create a Test Lead in Dazos CRM:
Start by creating a new lead in your Dazos CRM test account. Remember to fill in all required information for the lead. This typically includes: First Name, Last Name, Gender, Lead Status (e.g., "New Lead"). Save your new test lead.
Convert Lead and Add Pre-Assessment:
Once the test lead is created, convert it. This will allow you to access the patient's account.
Go to the newly created account and add a Pre-Assessment for this test patient.
Make sure to select a Level of Care (LOC) for this specific test patient within the Pre-Assessment. (When a real patient is being added on a live instance, the rep will also need to select the appropriate LOC).
Push the Patient to Sunwave (from Intake Opportunities):
Navigate to the Intake Opportunities section for your test account. Locate the patient's record you just created.
On the right side of the Intake Opportunities entry, you'll see three dots (... ). Click on these.
From the dropdown menu, click on "Create Patient in Sunwave."
If all required information is present and the connection is working, you should see a "Payload Confirmation" message appear in the top right corner of your screen, confirming that the patient was successfully created.
Tip: If you receive a confirmation that a patient was added in Dazos but they do not appear in Sunwave, please ask the client to provide the Formatted JSON Data from the payload.
They can obtain this by pasting the payload into https://jsonformatter.curiousconcept.com/ and sharing the formatted output.
Verify in Sunwave:
Now, head over to your Sunwave system.
To log in to Sunwave, you will need to find the "Sunwave Logins" on the designated spreadsheet and ask your manager for the verification code.
Once you are able to log into Sunwave look for the "Intake Process" section.
Click on the "Today" button (or navigate to the relevant date) to find the report or list of new patients. You should see the test patient you just pushed from Dazos CRM.
Perform an Extra Connection Test (Optional but Recommended):
To double-check the overall connection between Dazos and Sunwave, go back to your Dazos CRM.
Click on "Settings", then, select "CRM Settings", click on "EMR Settings", choose "Sunwave." Finally, click on the "Test Connection" button.
You should receive a "Success" message, confirming that the connection between Dazos and Sunwave is active and up to date.
By following these steps, you can effectively test and confirm that patient data is successfully pushing from Dazos CRM to Sunwave.
Verification / Expected Result
• Test patient record successfully appears in Sunwave.
• Payload confirmation displays in Dazos CRM.
• Connection test shows success.
Troubleshooting / Common Errors
• No Payload Confirmation: Verify required fields (LOC, demographic details) are complete.
• Patient not visible in Sunwave: Check JSON payload for errors and confirm sync with support.
• Connection test fails: Ensure EMR settings are configured correctly in Dazos CRM.
