Troubleshooting Sunwave EMR Integration: LOC Field Mapping Errors (CRM)

Purpose of this Guide

This guide helps resolve errors in which patient records fail to push automatically to Sunwave EMR due to Level of Care (LOC) field-mapping issues. When LOC mapping is incorrect, patients scheduled for admission cannot be automatically created in the EMR system.

Symptom/Error

When attempting to push a patient to Sunwave EMR, you receive a green error message stating "LOC is not mapped" or a similar field mapping error.

The patient record fails to be created automatically in Sunwave despite being properly scheduled in the CRM system.

Cause

This error occurs when the Level of Care field mapping between Dazos CRM and Sunwave EMR has been changed or misconfigured. This prevents the automatic creation of patient records in the EMR system because Sunwave cannot interpret the LOC data being sent from the CRM.

Common causes include:

  • LOC field mapping was modified or updated in your system

  • New Level of Care options (such as "MH Residential") have been added but haven't been mapped.

  • Integration settings were changed without updating the corresponding field mappings.

Solution

Please update the EMR integration field mappings to correctly link LOC values between your CRM and Sunwave EMR.

Steps for resolution:

  1. Contact Dazos Support - Report the LOC mapping error and specify which Level of Care values are affected.

  2. Provide affected patient examples - Include patient names and the specific LOC values that failed to map

  3. Request mapping update - Our technical team will coordinate the mapping correction for your LOC fields

  4. Verify new LOC options: If you've added new levels of care, confirm they need to be mapped as well.

Expected Result:

Once the mapping is corrected:

  • Future patient pushes will work automatically without LOC mapping errors.

  • Existing patients who previously failed can be pushed manually if needed.

  • Sunwave EMR will properly recognize all Level of Care options

Manual Patient Push Workaround

While waiting for the mapping fix, you can manually push affected patients to Sunwave EMR as a temporary solution. This ensures patient records are created even though the automatic integration is temporarily broken.

šŸ’” Tip: When adding new Level of Care options to your system, inform Dazos Support in advance so we can update the mapping before the integration breaks.

Escalation

Contact Dazos Support immediately if:

  • You receive "LOC is not mapped" errors when pushing patients to Sunwave

  • You've recently added new Level of Care options that need to be mapped.

  • Patient records are not being created automatically in your EMR.

  • You've made changes to your LOC structure and need mapping updates

āš ļø Important: Always notify Dazos Support when making changes to Level of Care options so we can update your EMR integration mappings accordingly.
