Purpose of This Guide
This guide explains what to do when the Sunwave EMR integration stops working because the Dazos integration user was deleted from Sunwave. Follow the steps below to restore the connection and resume normal operation.
Symptom / Error
You may notice the following when this issue occurs:
Patient records can no longer be pushed from Dazos to Sunwave
Status updates and data from Sunwave are no longer being received in Dazos
The Sunwave integration was previously working but has suddenly stopped functioning
Cause
The Sunwave integration relies on a dedicated Dazos user account in Sunwave to authenticate and maintain the connection. If this user — [email protected] — is removed from Sunwave, the integration loses access and stops working entirely.
This can happen when a Sunwave administrator performs user cleanup or account management without being aware that this account is required for the integration.
Solution
Recreate the Dazos integration user in Sunwave.
In your Sunwave system, create a new user using the exact email address: [email protected]. The email must match exactly — do not use a variation or alias.Notify Dazos Support.
Once the user has been re-added in Sunwave, contact Dazos Support to let them know. A member of the support team will refresh the integration connection on the backend to restore full functionality.Allow data to sync.
After the connection is restored, any data updates that were missed during the downtime will automatically sync within a couple of hours. No additional action is required on your end.
⚠️ Important: The email address [email protected] must be used exactly as written. Using any other email will not restore the integration.
Verification / Expected Result
Once Dazos Support has refreshed the connection, the integration will resume normal operation. You will be able to push patient records to Sunwave and receive status updates as usual. Any data missed during the outage will be automatically recovered within approximately two hours.
Escalation
Contact Dazos Support if:
The integration does not recover after the Dazos user has been re-added and support has been notified
You are unsure whether the integration user was deleted or if another issue caused the failure
Data does not appear to sync within a few hours after the connection is restored
💡 Tip: To prevent this issue from recurring, inform your Sunwave administrators that the [email protected] user account must not be deleted, as it is required to maintain the Dazos-Sunwave integration.
