How to Change KIPU Instance for Treatment Program Integration (CRM)

This guide explains how to redirect patient pushes from one KIPU instance to another, including mapping treatment programs, discharge types, and payers between systems.

Before You Begin

  • Admin access is required to modify EMR settings

  • The new KIPU instance must be set up with proper credentials and webhook configuration

  • Provide super admin access to [email protected] in your new KIPU instance

  • Have the new KIPU instance URL and location ID ready

Steps

1. Navigate to EMR Settings

Go to Settings (gear icon) → CRM Settings → Integration → EMR Settings in your Dazos CRM.

2. Contact Dazos Support for Instance Setup

Contact Dazos Support and provide:

3. Support Team Configuration

The Dazos support team will:

  • Set up the new KIPU instance with proper credentials

  • Configure webhooks, secret keys, and headers

  • Map treatment programs between the old and new KIPU instances

  • Map discharge types and LOC (EMR Programs)

  • Map payers between systems

4. Test Patient Pushes

After the support team completes the configuration:

  • Test pushing a patient from CRM to the new KIPU instance

  • Verify the patient record appears correctly in KIPU

  • Confirm all mapped data (treatment program, discharge types, payers) transfers properly

5. Disconnect Old KIPU Instance

Once testing confirms the new instance is working correctly, request that Dazos Support disconnect the old KIPU instance from the EMR settings.

Verification / Expected Result

After completion:

  • Patient pushes will be directed to the new KIPU instance

  • All treatment programs, discharge types, and payers will be properly mapped

  • The "Create Patient in KIPU" function will work with the new instance

  • The old KIPU instance will be disconnected from EMR settings

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

Patient pushes not working after configuration:

  • Verify the new KIPU instance has proper super admin access for [email protected]

  • Confirm all treatment program mappings are complete

  • Test the connection in EMR Settings

  • Contact support if issues persist

Missing treatment programs in mapping:

  • Ensure the treatment programs exist in both the CRM and new KIPU instance

  • Only operational treatment programs should be mapped

  • Request additional mapping from support if needed
