IQ Reports FAQ: The Sales Rep Column in Marketing Reports is missing and how to use the Main Grid (Dazos IQ)

This guide addresses a common issue in the IQ Marketing Reports module where the first identifying column (such as Sales Rep, Lead Source, or Referral Source) temporarily appears and then disappears, leaving the report data unidentifiable.

Intro / Context:

Understanding the Main Grid in IQ Reports

In Dazos IQ, Marketing Reports are structured using two key components: the Main Grid and the Sub Grid. Understanding how these work is essential, as they control how your report data is displayed and organized.

The Main Grid columns define the primary headers of your report. These are the top-level fields that allow you to quickly identify and group your data. For example, the “Sales Rep” column is just one of many available options you can select. Other commonly used Main Grid columns include:

Sales Rep

Lead Source

Referral Source

Number of Claims

Total Billed Amount

Total Paid

Patient Responsibility

Patients

Depending on your reporting needs, you can choose which of these fields should appear as the main identifiers in your dashboard.

To manage these, you will use the “Manage Main Grid Columns” pop-up. This configuration window allows you to:

Select which columns are visible in the report. Control which fields act as your primary grouping headers

If a column like “Sales Rep” is missing, it is often because it has been unchecked in this pop-up, rather than removed entirely.

Q: Why is the first column (Rep Name, Lead Source) missing or disappearing in my Marketing Reports?

A: The first column is often hidden by default or has been inadvertently toggled off in the grid settings, causing the report data to lack its primary identifier. The column briefly appears during the page load before the grid fully renders its configured display settings.

Q: How do I make the missing Rep Name or Lead Source column permanently visible?

A: You need to manually manage the main grid columns within the report configuration settings:

  1. Access the Report: Log into IQ and click on Marketing Revenue.

  2. Select the specific report you are having trouble with (e.g., By Sales Rep or By Lead Source).

  3. Open Grid Management: Look for the Manage Columns Icon (often a small grid icon or table icon) located near the top of the report view.

  4. Click on Manage Main Grid Columns.

  5. Enable Visibility: Locate the name of the column that is currently missing (e.g., "Sales Rep" or "Lead Source Main Column").

  6. Ensure the box next to that column is checked to Show it.

  7. Click Apply to save the changes. The column will now be permanently visible in the report.

Pro Tips / Extra Help

  • Column Discrepancy: If you find the report continues to act erratically (columns disappearing immediately after hitting "Apply"), try performing a full cache and cookie clear on your browser and then re-applying the column settings.

  • Troubleshooting: If this setting does not resolve the issue, contact Dazos Support immediately, as the problem is likely a deeper bug in the report's JavaScript rendering logic.
