How to Prevent Caller ID Data from Overwriting VOB Address Fields (CRM)

When running Instant VOBs, address fields like City, State, and Zip may not update correctly because the system only fills in those fields if they're empty; if Caller ID has already populated them, the VOB results won't overwrite them.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have admin access to CRM Settings and VOIP integration configuration.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Settings → CRM Settings → Integration → VOIP Settings.

  2. Click on Map Calling Fields to open the Lead Fields mapping screen.

  3. Find the mappings for City, State, and Zip fields.

  4. Remove these field mappings or leave them unmapped.

  5. Click Save to apply your changes.

Expected Result

After unmapping these fields, Caller ID data will no longer populate the City, State, and Zip fields on leads. When you run Instant VOB, these fields will be empty and available for VOB to populate with accurate address information.

Why This Works

VOB only updates address fields if they are empty. By preventing Caller ID from populating City, State, and Zip in the first place, you ensure these fields remain available for VOB to fill with the correct address data.
