How to Enable Outbound Referrals from KIPU EMR 'Discharging To' Field (CRM)

Overview: This guide explains how to enable automatic outbound referrals in Dazos using KIPU EMR's 'Discharging To' field.

Before You Begin

  • You must have administrator access to CRM Settings

  • Your KIPU EMR integration must already be configured and active

  • Confirm you have access to the Global EMR Settings section

⚠️ Note: If you don't see Global EMR Settings, your account may not have administrator permissions or the KIPU integration may not be active yet.

Steps

  1. Log in to the CRM and navigate to Settings.

  2. Click on CRM Settings.

  3. Navigate to the Integrations section.

    1. Select Global EMR Settings.

  4. Enable the setting that allows KIPU's 'Discharging To' field to create outbound referrals in Dazos.

  5. Click Save to apply the configuration changes.

Verification / Expected Result

Once enabled, when staff use the 'Discharging To' field in KIPU EMR:

  • An outbound referral record is automatically created in Dazos

  • The referral information syncs from KIPU to the CRM

  • No manual data entry is required in Dazos for these referrals

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

Outbound referrals not appearing in Dazos:

  • Confirm the setting is enabled in Global EMR Settings

  • Check that the KIPU integration is active and functioning

Unable to find the setting:

  • Ensure you have administrator permissions

  • Contact support if the Global EMR Settings section is not visible
