How to Save Treatment Programs for Canadian Customers Without NPIs (CRM)

This guide explains how to save treatment programs for Canadian customers who don't have National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers. The system requires an NPI field to save treatment programs, but there's a simple workaround for Canadian facilities.

Before You Begin

  • Admin access to Dazos CRM Settings

  • Understanding that this is a workaround for Canadian customers only

  • Note that Canadian provinces are currently not available as location options

Steps

1. Navigate to Treatment Program Settings

Go to Settings → CRM Settings → Configuration → Treatment Program.

2. Click the '+ Add' Button

This will open the new treatment program form.

3. Fill Out Required Fields with Workaround Information

  • Complete all the standard facility information fields (name, address, etc.)

  • For the NPI field: Enter any random NPI number (the system requires this field but doesn't validate the actual number)

  • For the State/Province field: Since Canadian provinces aren't available, select any random US state as a placeholder

4. Complete the Form

Fill out all other necessary details for your Canadian treatment facility.

5. Save the Treatment Program

Click Save to create the treatment program with the workaround information.

Verification / Expected Result

  • The Canadian treatment program will be successfully saved in the system

  • The facility will appear in your Treatment Program list

  • The program can be used normally for patient records and workflows

💡 Important Notes

  • This is a temporary workaround - the random NPI and state information are placeholders only

  • The system doesn't validate NPI numbers, so any combination of digits will work

  • Canadian provinces may be added as options in future system updates
