Troubleshooting / Common Errors

AETNA Policy Issues

If you encounter NPI errors when running iVerify for AETNA policies specifically:

  • The new treatment program's NPI may need to be registered directly with AETNA through their clearinghouse

  • Contact AETNA to register the NPI for eligibility verification services

💡 Tips & Best Practices

  • Proactive Setup: Contact your Customer Success Manager whenever you add new treatment programs or locations to ensure proper integration setup

  • Test Early: Always test both iVerify and patient transfer functionality before going live with a new treatment program

  • Insurance-Specific Requirements: Some insurance providers may require additional NPI registration steps beyond the Dazos system setup
