How to Manually Email Multiple Documents from Account Records in (CRM)

This guide explains the current limitations when trying to manually email multiple uploaded documents directly from Account records in the CRM.

Before You Begin

  • You must have documents already uploaded to your Account record

  • Access to the Account where your documents are stored

  • Understanding that current functionality may require alternative approaches

Current Process Limitations

The Documents module in Account records does not currently provide a clear method to:

  • Select multiple documents at once for email attachment

  • Attach documents directly to emails without downloading them locally

  • Use a "compose email" function within the Documents section

Available Alternatives

Option 1: Use Automated Workflows

For recurring document sending needs, consider setting up an automated workflow:

  1. Navigate to Settings > CRM Settings > Automation > Workflows

  2. Create a "Send Mail" action

  3. Configure recipients and attach your documents through the workflow setup

Option 2: Manual Download and Attach

Currently, the most reliable method requires downloading documents first:

  1. Go to your Account record

  2. Click the Documents icon in the ribbon area

  3. Download each of the 3 documents to your computer

  4. Compose an email using your preferred email client

  5. Attach all downloaded documents to the email

  6. Send the email

Expected Result

Using the alternative methods above, you should be able to successfully send all required documents to your recipient, though the process may require additional steps compared to direct CRM attachment.
