How to Selectively Push Documents to KIPU Using Folder Mapping (CRM)

This guide explains how to selectively choose which documents get pushed to KIPU when transferring a patient from Dazos CRM. By using the folder mapping system, you can control exactly which documents are sent during the patient push process

Before You Begin

  • Admin access to modify Document folders and EMR Integration settings

  • Active KIPU EMR integration with authentication

  • Documents are organized or ready to be organized into specific folders

Steps

  1. Create Specific Document Folders
Navigate to the Documents module in your Dazos CRM instance. Create folders for the specific document types you want to push to KIPU. For example, create folders named "Admissions", "Insurance", or "Clinical Notes" based on your workflow needs.

  2. Configure Folder Mapping in EMR Settings
Go to Settings > CRM Settings > Integration > EMR Settings (Kipu). In the Document/Folder Mapping section, map only the folders you want to push to KIPU to their corresponding destinations in KIPU.

  3. Organize Documents in Mapped Folders
Move the documents you want to push to KIPU into the folders you've mapped. Only documents placed in these specific mapped folders will be transferred during the patient push.

  4. Push Patient to KIPU
Navigate to the patient record and perform the Push to EMR action. The system will only transfer documents from the folders you've mapped, giving you selective control over which documents are sent.

Verification / Expected Result

After the push is complete, log into KIPU and verify that only the documents from your mapped folders appear in the patient's chart. Documents not placed in mapped folders will remain in Dazos CRM and will not be transferred.

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

  • All documents still pushing: Ensure you've only mapped the specific folders you want to transfer, not all available folders.

  • Documents not appearing in KIPU: Verify that the documents are placed inside the mapped folders, not just attached to the record generally.

  • Folder not visible in mapping: If a newly created folder doesn't appear in EMR settings, try refreshing your browser or logging out and back in.

πŸ’‘ Tip: This selective approach is particularly useful for compliance requirements or when different document types need to go to specific sections in KIPU.
