When This Affects You
This limitation impacts users who want to:
Share report visualizations via PDF export
Print reports that include charts and graphs
Archive reports with their visual elements intact
Current Export Behavior
The report export system works as follows:
PDF Export: Exports raw data only, no charts or graphs
CSV Export: Exports raw data in spreadsheet format
Excel Export: Exports raw data in Excel format
Even though the user interface may suggest that charts should be included in PDF exports, this functionality is not currently supported.
Alternative Solutions
If you need to share or archive reports with their visual elements, consider these workarounds:
Screenshot: Take a screenshot of the report page showing both data and charts
Browser Print: Use your browser's print function to print to PDF, though chart visibility may still be limited
Export Raw Data: Export to Excel/CSV and recreate charts in your preferred application
⚠️ Important Notes
This is a known system limitation, not a configuration issue or user error. The export functionality is working as designed, despite the UI potentially suggesting otherwise.
