How to Grant Recycle Bin Access to any Role (CRM)

Overview

Recycle Bin access in Dazos is role-based and tied to higher-level administrative permissions. If you need to grant Recycle Bin access to users with the Director role, you'll need to change their role to one that includes this permission.

Before You Begin

  • You must have administrative privileges to modify user roles

  • Identify the specific users who need Recycle Bin access

  • Understand that Recycle Bin access is role-based and cannot be granted individually

Steps

  1. Navigate to User Management: Access your user management section in Dazos

  2. Locate the User: Find the specific user who currently has the Director role and needs Recycle Bin access

  3. Review Available Roles: Check which roles in your organization have Recycle Bin permissions enabled

  4. Change User Role: Update the user's role from Director to a role that includes Recycle Bin access permissions

  5. Save Changes: Apply the role change to activate the new permissions

Verification / Expected Result

After completing these steps, the Director role user should be able to:

  • Access the Recycle Bin through Settings > CRM Settings > Recycle Bin.

  • View deleted records from various modules.

  • Restore records as needed using the restore functionality

The user will maintain their Director role permissions while having the additional capability to manage deleted records.

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

  • Recycle Bin still not visible: Ensure the user has logged out completely and logged back in. Changes to user permissions may require a fresh login session.

  • Permission changes aren't saving. Please verify you have administrative rights to modify user permissions. Contact your system administrator if needed.

  • Multiple users need access: Repeat the process for each individual Director user who requires Recycle Bin access.
