How to Set Up Additional Treatment Facilities and Connect KIPU EMR + Dazos IQ (CRM)

Overview

This guide explains how to set up new treatment facilities in Dazos and connect them to both KIPU EMR and Dazos IQ. This process involves three main components: creating the facility in CRM, setting up KIPU integration, and configuring Dazos IQ access.

Before You Begin

  • Admin access to your Dazos CRM instance

  • NPI number for each new facility

  • Administrative access to your KIPU account

  • Knowledge of your current Dazos IQ license limits

Steps

Step 1: Add New Treatment Program in CRM

  1. Log in to your Dazos CRM instance

  2. Go to Settings → CRM Settings → Configuration

  3. Click Treatment Program

  4. Click + Add

  5. Enter the facility details, including the NPI number (required field)

  6. Save the new treatment program

Step 2: Set Up KIPU Integration

For facilities on the same KIPU instance:

  • No additional integration fees required

  • New facilities will automatically sync once added to your existing KIPU instance

  • Provide KIPU and CMD access to the Dazos team when facilities go live

For facilities requiring a separate KIPU instance:

  1. Contact your Dazos representative to request a quote for additional KIPU integration

  2. Complete billing for the integration fee (each KIPU instance requires separate setup)

  3. From your KIPU account, invite [email protected] as a Super Admin

  4. Share your KIPU API key with the Dazos integrations team

  5. Wait for the team to complete the backend setup

Step 3: Configure Dazos IQ Access

Check your current license:

  • Review your existing contract to see how many locations are covered

  • Determine how many locations you're currently using

Adding facilities to IQ:

  • Within license limits: New facilities can be added under your existing contract at no additional cost

  • Over license limits: Contact your CSM to update your contract for additional locations

  • Transferring licenses: Existing licenses can be transferred from inactive facilities to new ones

Verification / Expected Result

  • A new treatment program appears in your CRM facility list

  • KIPU integration pushes VOBs and pre-assessments to the new facility

  • Dazos IQ displays data and analytics for the new facility

  • All patient data flows correctly between systems

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

Facility won't save in CRM:

  • Ensure the NPI number is included (required field)

  • Verify all required fields are completed

  • Check that you have admin access to the Configuration settings

KIPU integration is not working:

  • Confirm billing has been completed for additional instances

  • Verify that [email protected] has Super Admin access in KIPU

  • Check that the API key was shared correctly

IQ is not showing the new facility:

  • Confirm the facility is within your license limits

  • Contact your CSM if contract updates are needed

  • Allow time for data synchronization after KIPU setup is complete
