Adding Insurance Payers That Don't Support Electronic Verification (CRM)

When a payer doesn't support EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) for eligibility verification through your clearinghouse, you can still add it to the payer picklist in Dazos. This allows you to select and document the payer for tracking purposes, even thoug

Before You Begin

  • Contact [email protected] to request new payer additions

  • Understand that payers without EDI support will not return electronic verification results

  • Note that different CRMs may support different payers depending on which clearinghouse they use

Steps

  1. Submit Payer Addition Request
Email [email protected] with the specific payer name and code you need added (e.g., "Detego Health - PHCS")

  2. Clearinghouse Verification
Our support team will confirm the payer details with the clearinghouse and verify whether EDI eligibility verification is supported

  3. Payer Addition to Picklist
Even if the payer doesn't support electronic verification, our team will add it to your payer picklist for selection and documentation purposes

  4. Confirmation
You'll receive confirmation when the payer has been added to your system and is available for selection

Verification / Expected Result

After the payer is added:

  • The payer will appear in your payer picklist for selection

  • You can assign this payer to patient records for documentation and tracking

  • VOB requests with this payer will not return electronic results, but the payer selection will be preserved in your records

Important Notes

💡 Tip: Having non-EDI payers in your picklist is still valuable for accurate documentation and patient record completeness.

⚠️ Note: If other CRMs can pull data from a payer that Dazos cannot, this is typically due to different clearinghouse partnerships. Each system uses different clearinghouses, and payer support varies between them.
