Who Can Use This Feature
The Send Origin column is available to all iCampaign users with access to the Campaigns area. No special permissions or configuration are needed — the column appears automatically on both the Drafts and Sent views for everyone.
Understanding Send Origin Values
Each campaign displays a colored label in the Send Origin column. Here is what each value means:
Manual — The campaign was created directly in iCampaign by a user.
Drip Campaign — The campaign was generated by a drip-campaign automation.
Workflow — The campaign was generated by a workflow action.
Event — The campaign was generated by an event, such as an occurrence, reminder, or scheduled event.
If a campaign shows a dash (—) instead of a label, its origin was not recorded. This applies only to certain older system-generated messages. All new campaigns are tagged automatically.
Filter Campaigns by Send Origin
You can narrow the Campaigns list to show only campaigns from specific origins. This is useful, for example, if you want to review only the campaigns your automations created.
Open the Campaigns area from the left-hand menu.
In the filter row at the top of the list, open the Send Origin filter.
Select one or more values: Manual, Drip Campaign, Workflow, or Event. Selecting multiple values shows campaigns matching any of your choices.
Click Search Data to apply the filter.
To return to the full list, click Clear Filters.
Sort, Show, or Hide the Column
To sort: Click the Send Origin column heading to sort the list by origin. Click it again to reverse the order.
To show or hide the column: Click the Click here to manage List Columns control above the table. Find Send Origin in the list and drag it between the visible and hidden columns to match your preferred layout. Your choice is saved for future sessions.
Hiding the column only changes your personal view and does not affect how campaigns are tagged or what other users see.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to set the Send Origin myself?
No. Every campaign is tagged automatically when it is created. There is nothing to configure.
Why does an older campaign show Manual when I expected something else?
Existing campaigns were tagged based on how they were originally created. Most automated campaigns are recognized correctly. A small number of older records may appear as Manual. All new campaigns are tagged accurately going forward.
Does hiding or filtering the column affect my campaigns?
No. Sorting, filtering, showing, and hiding the column only change how the list appears to you. Your campaigns are never modified.
The Send Origin column is not visible. What should I do?
It may be hidden in your personal column layout. Open the column manager and move Send Origin back into the visible columns. If it still does not appear, contact Dazos support.
