Pick a few rows, or filter the list and select everything that matches, and the export (and the bulk Delete) applies only to that set. Large exports are prepared in the background and delivered to you with a download link and an in-app notification.

1. Before You Start
You will need:
An iCampaign account with access to the Subscribers area.
Permission to view and create/export subscribers (the same permission that has always shown the Export button).
Access requirements: The Export and Delete buttons appear in the Subscribers toolbar for users whose role allows it. If you don't see them, ask your administrator to grant Subscribers access for your role.
If the new background-export behavior doesn't appear to work for very large lists, contact Dazos support so they can confirm your instance is fully updated.
2. Open the Subscribers List
From the left menu, open Subscribers. You'll see your list with a toolbar of actions at the top right — including Delete, Import, and Export.
Until you select records, the Export and Delete buttons stay disabled — this prevents accidentally acting on the whole list.
Tip: Use the column filters at the top of the list first if you only want a subset (for example, by tag, segment, status, or date). Everything you select afterward respects those filters.
3. Select the Records to Export
You can select records two ways:
Selection method | What it does |
Tick individual rows | Choose specific subscribers one by one. The buttons show the count, e.g. Export (3). |
Tick the header checkbox | Selects every row on the current page. A banner then offers to select the whole filtered set. |
When you select the page, a banner appears so you can extend the selection to every subscriber that matches your current filters:
Click Select all N subscribers matching this search to select the entire filtered set across all pages. The banner confirms the full selection, and you can Clear selection at any time:
Important: The selection always respects your active filters. To export your *entire* list on purpose, simply clear all filters first, then select the page and choose Select all … matching this search.
4. Export Your Selection
With your records selected, click Export. The button shows how many records will be included (for example, Export (25) or Export (159614)).
For a smaller selection, the CSV file downloads to your computer right away.
For a large selection, iCampaign prepares the file in the background (see the next section).
The exported file is a CSV containing one row per subscriber with these columns:
Column | Description |
id | The subscriber's internal ID. |
hash | The subscriber's unique reference code. |
The subscriber's email address. | |
first_name | First name. |
last_name | Last name. |
created_at | When the subscriber was added. |
5. Large Exports Run in the Background
If you selected a very large set, the export is handed off to a background process so you don't have to wait on the page. A small progress panel appears in the lower-right corner and updates until the file is ready. When it finishes, a Download CSV button appears:
You don't have to stay on the page. When the file is ready, iCampaign also posts an in-app notification — open the notifications area to find "Subscriber export ready" with a link to download your file:
Tip: Generated export files are kept for a limited time and then cleaned up automatically. Download yours soon after it's ready; if a link has expired, just run the export again.
6. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I filtered my list and selected a few records — will the export include anyone else?
No. The export includes only the records that match your filters and that you selected. Nothing outside that set is included.
Q: How do I export my whole subscriber list?
Clear all filters, tick the header checkbox to select the page, then click Select all … matching this search, and click Export.
Q: Why is the Export button greyed out?
It stays disabled until you select at least one record. Tick some rows (or the page checkbox) and it will enable and show the count.
Q: My selection is very large — where is my file?
Large exports run in the background. Watch the progress panel in the lower-right corner, or check your notifications for "Subscriber export ready" and download from there.
Q: Does the same filtered/selected behavior apply to Delete?
Yes. The bulk Delete action also applies only to the records that match your filters and selection. Please double-check your selection before deleting — deletions cannot be undone.
Q: What format is the export?
A CSV file you can open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool.
7. Need Help?
If you run into issues:
1. Check the progress panel (lower-right) or your notifications for the export status. 2. Confirm your filters and selection count on the toolbar buttons before exporting.
3. Contact Dazos support with what you selected and any on-screen message, and reference ICD 1404.
