Key Differences
Mail Manager and Mail Converter serve different purposes in Dazos CRM:
Mail Manager - Shows your full email inbox inside the CRM, displaying ALL emails
Mail Converter - Only logs emails that match existing CRM records (Leads, Accounts, or Referral Sources)
Mail Manager
Mail Manager displays your complete email inbox within the CRM interface. This means:
All emails from your connected inbox appear in Mail Manager
No filtering is applied based on CRM records
You can view and manage your entire email history from within the CRM
This is the expected behavior - if you can see all your emails, Mail Manager is working correctly
Mail Converter
Mail Converter automatically scans your selected email folders and only attaches emails to CRM records when specific criteria are met:
The sender's email address must match an existing Lead, Account, or Referral Source record
Only matching emails are logged into the record's Emails area
Runs automatically every 15 minutes in the background
Requires configuration of which folders to scan
Common Misconception
A common misunderstanding is that Mail Manager should filter emails to show only those related to CRM records. This is incorrect:
Mail Manager = Full inbox view in CRM (no filtering)
Mail Converter = Selective email logging based on record matching
If customers expect to see only CRM-related emails, they may be confusing Mail Manager with Mail Converter functionality.
When to Use Each Feature
