Why It Matters
Internal Dazos team members sometimes notice the Support icon is missing from their instance view and may assume it needs to be enabled or that something is broken. This article clarifies the expected behavior so internal staff are not misled into unnecessary troubleshooting.
How the Support Icon Works
The Support icon (Dazos Support Messenger) is powered by the Intercom integration and is automatically enabled for customer-facing users in any Dazos instance.
Customer users will see the Support icon without any manual configuration needed.
The Support icon is intentionally hidden for any user logged in with a @dazos.com email address. This is by design and cannot be changed.
Who Will and Will Not See the Support Icon
✅ Customer users ([email protected] email addresses): The Support icon is automatically visible. No setup or enablement is needed.
❌ Internal Dazos users (@dazos.com email addresses): The Support icon will never appear, regardless of browser, device, cache, or page visited. This is expected behavior.
⚠️ Note: If you are a Dazos internal user and cannot see the Support icon, this is not a bug or configuration issue. It is working as intended. Refreshing the page, clearing your cache, or checking a different page will not resolve this — the icon is suppressed for @dazos.com accounts by design.
