The Users list under User Management used to show two very different groups of accounts in one list: the people who actually work at your organisation, and the internal DAZOS and partner-agency accounts that exist for support, integrations and testing. For a customer administrator reviewing their staff roster, and for DAZOS staff auditing an instance, that mix was noise.
With this update, the list opens showing customer users only, for everyone. DAZOS staff who need to see internal accounts get a Show Internal Users switch that adds them to the list for as long as they stay on the screen. Nothing about who can see internal accounts has changed; only the default view has.

1. Before You Start
You will need:
A CRM user account that can open Settings → User Management → Users. Customer administrators and DAZOS staff both can.
Access requirements:
Who you are | What you see |
Customer administrator | The customer-only list. The Show Internal Users switch is not shown and cannot be turned on by any other means. |
DAZOS staff (Global Users, SysAdmin, Admin accounts) | The customer-only list by default, plus the Show Internal Users switch. |
Nothing needs to be switched on for your instance. The new behaviour applies automatically on both InsightsTx and AllevaCRM as soon as the update is installed.
If you are DAZOS staff and cannot find the switch described below, your instance may not have received the update yet, or your account is not in the eligible group. Contact Dazos support and reference CRM 3790.
2. What Changed
| Before | Now |
What a customer administrator sees | Customer users only | Customer users only (no change) |
What DAZOS staff see when the list opens | Customer users and internal accounts, mixed together | Customer users only |
How DAZOS staff reach internal accounts | Always visible; no way to hide them | Turn on the Show Internal Users switch |
The "1 to N of M" record count | Counted everything the viewer could see | Counts only the users currently listed |
Remembering the choice | Not applicable | The switch resets to off whenever you open the Users list afresh |
Note: An earlier build of this feature used a pair of buttons labelled Customer Users and Internal Users, which showed one group or the other. That design was replaced before release by the single switch described in this guide, which shows customers on their own or everyone together.
3. Open the Users List
1. From the CRM, open Settings.
2. Under User Management, choose Users. The breadcrumb at the top of the page reads Home › User Management › Users.
Names and e-mail addresses in the screenshots are blurred; they come from a test environment.
4. The Default View: Customer Users Only
When the list opens it shows only your organisation's own users. Internal DAZOS and partner accounts are left out, and the record count at the top and bottom of the list ("1 to 4 of 4" in the example above) reflects only the users you can see.
This is the whole story for customer administrators. Everything else on the screen, including Add User, Import, search, sorting and the Active / Inactive buttons, works exactly as before.
5. Showing Internal Users (DAZOS staff)
If your account is eligible, a Show Internal Users switch appears just below the Active Users / Inactive Users buttons.
1. Click the Show Internal Users switch. The page reloads.
2. The switch turns blue, and the list now shows everyone: your customer users and the internal DAZOS and partner accounts, in one list. The record count grows to match.
3. Click the switch again to turn it off and return to the customer-only list.
The switch is a view setting, not a saved preference. It applies only while you stay on the Users list:
Leave the screen (open a user, go to another settings page, use the browser back button) and come back, and the list is back to customer users only.
It is never shared between users or between instances.
6. Combining the Switch with Active / Inactive
The Active Users / Inactive Users buttons and the Show Internal Users switch work together. Whichever you change, the other setting is kept:
Active / Inactive | Switch | You see |
Active Users | Off | Active customer users |
Active Users | On | All active users (customer and internal) |
Inactive Users | Off | Inactive customer users |
Inactive Users | On | All inactive users (customer and internal) |
Search boxes above each column filter whatever list is currently shown.
7. Who Counts as an Internal User
An account is treated as internal when its e-mail address belongs to a DAZOS brand domain or to one of the partner agencies DAZOS works with. There is no checkbox to tick on the user record; the e-mail domain decides. This is the same rule the CRM already used to hide internal accounts from customer administrators, so the two views always add up: every active user appears in the customer-only list or is added by the switch, never in both and never in neither.
If a user who should be counted as internal appears in the customer list, or the other way round, the e mail domain is the first thing to check. Ask Dazos support if a new partner domain needs to be recognised.
8. What Has Not Changed
Area | Status |
What customer administrators can see | Unchanged. They saw only their own users before and still do. |
Adding, editing, activating or deactivating users | Unchanged |
Active Users / Inactive Users buttons | Unchanged, and now keep the switch setting when you use them |
Column search and sorting | Unchanged |
The Export of the users list | Unchanged. It exports customer users only, whether or not the switch is on (see the FAQ). |
User records, roles and profiles | Unchanged. No data was modified by this update. |
9. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I am DAZOS staff and the list looks shorter than it used to. Is something missing? No. The list now opens showing customer users only. Turn on Show Internal Users to see the internal accounts as well.
Q: I am a customer administrator. Can I see the internal accounts? No, and this is not new. Internal accounts were already hidden from customer administrators; the switch is only offered to DAZOS staff accounts.
Q: Does the switch stay on if I open a user and come back? No. Each fresh visit to the Users list starts with the switch off. Use the Active / Inactive buttons if you need to move between those views without losing the switch setting.
Q: The record count changed when I flipped the switch. Which one is right? Both. The count always describes the list you are looking at: customers only with the switch off, everyone with it on.
Q: I turned the switch on and pressed Export. Why does the file not match the screen? The export deliberately includes customer users only, in both views, so an exported roster never contains internal accounts. This is a known difference between the screen and the file.
Q: Where is the "Internal User" checkbox mentioned in the original request? There is none. The CRM identifies internal accounts by e-mail domain, not by a flag on the user record.
10. Need Help?
Contact Dazos support and reference ticket CRM-3790. When reporting a problem, include your instance name, the username you were signed in with, and whether the Show Internal Users switch was on or off.
