Overview
If your organization has integrated CollaborateMD (CMD) with Dazos IQ, it is important to understand that the CMD account must remain active at all times. Dazos IQ pulls data directly from CollaborateMD on a recurring basis. If the CMD account is closed or deactivated, the sync will break and all IQ reports and dashboards will stop updating.
Key Concepts
Recurring data sync: Dazos IQ does not store a one-time snapshot of your CMD data. It continuously pulls updated data from CMD on an ongoing basis.
Account dependency: The IQ integration relies on an active, accessible CMD account to function. There is no way to keep IQ reports updating if CMD is closed.
Required permissions for setup: During the initial integration setup, the CMD user account used for the integration must have run or execution permissions in CollaborateMD — not just build reports permissions. Build-only access is insufficient and will prevent the integration from completing.
How It Works
Once the CollaborateMD integration is configured in Dazos IQ, the system accesses your CMD account on a scheduled, recurring basis to pull the latest report data. This data is then used to populate your IQ dashboards and reports. Because this connection is live and ongoing, the CMD account must remain open and accessible for IQ to continue functioning correctly.
If the CMD account is closed or deactivated after the integration has been set up:
The recurring sync will immediately break.
IQ dashboards and reports will stop receiving new data.
Reports will no longer reflect current or accurate information.
Important Notes
Do not close your CollaborateMD account after setting up the IQ integration, even if you believe the initial data has already been imported. The integration requires continuous access to CMD to keep your IQ data current.
Permission requirement during setup: When granting Dazos access to your CMD account for the integration, ensure the user is given run or execution permissions on the relevant reports — not just build reports access. Providing only build permissions will prevent the integration from being completed successfully.
