Which related module icons appear in the Module Quick Access ribbon (the row of icons under the record header) and in what order; which cards appear in the right column (Activities, Comments, and the module's other cards) and in what order; whether the Summary view is offered; and whether records open on Details by default. Nothing is deleted: hiding an icon or a card only removes it from the page, and you can show it again at any time.
A Contacts record before any setting: full ribbon under the header, full right column, Summary and Details views.
For administrators — opening the tab
1. Go to Settings > CRM Settings > Module Management > Module Layouts & Fields.
2. Pick the module from the Select Module dropdown (for example Accounts, Leads or Intake Opportunities).
3. Open the Page Layout tab, next to Detail View Layout.
The counters at the top show how many ribbon icons and right-column cards are currently shown, and which view a record opens on.
The Page Layout tab for a module, with everything shown (the default for every module).
Module Quick Access ribbon
Show Module Quick Access: switch off to hide the whole ribbon of related-module icons. Below it, one line per relationship. Untick a line to hide only that icon. The relationship itself stays active: its related list, its counts and its links keep working.
Drag a line by the grip on the left to change the order of the icons. The number on the right shows the new position. This is the same order the Relationships tab shows, so both tabs always agree.
To deactivate a relationship itself, use the trash icon on the Relationships tab, exactly as before. The Page Layout tab never does that.
Right column
Show right column: switch off to hide the whole column of cards beside the record. The record body then takes the full width.
Keep it on and untick single cards to hide only those. At least one card must stay. Drag a card line to change the order of the cards on the record page.
Views
Hide Summary: the Summary view disappears from the record's view switcher and records open on Details.
Make Details the default view: records open on Details for everyone, while Summary stays available. This overrides each user's own default record view preference, for this module only.
A control the module cannot use is greyed out with a short note (for example a module whose record page has no right column, or no Summary view).
A module without a right column: that control is greyed out with a note; the other settings stay available.
Making changes and saving
In the example below the administrator hid the Activities icon, moved Documents to the first position in the ribbon, hid the Comments card and moved the Activities card to the top of the right column. The counters and the save bar update as you go.
Changes made but not saved yet: the hidden lines are greyed, the positions renumbered, the save bar says "Unsaved changes".
The counters follow every change.
1. Click Save.
2. The message "Page Layout settings saved" confirms it, and the save bar says "All changes saved".
After saving.
What everyone sees on records
The changes apply to every user of that module, in both the classic and the new record view, from their next page load.
The same Contacts record after saving: Documents is the first ribbon icon, the Activities icon is gone, the Activities card sits on top of the right column and the Comments card is hidden.
Good to know
A module with no saved settings looks exactly as it does today.
Hidden icons, cards or the Summary view are not deleted. Reopen the tab, tick them again and save.
Related lists, record counts and direct links to a related list keep working even when their icon is hidden.
If a new relationship or a new card is added to the module later, it is shown by default until you decide otherwise.
